MRS. DOUBTFIRE centers on Daniel Hillard, a recently unemployed father of three who loses custody of his children during divorce proceedings with his wife Miranda (Sally Field). To skirt the court order, Hillard disguises himself as a Scottish nanny -- Mrs. Doubtfire. Hilarity ensues.

The movie won Williams the Golden Globe for Best Actor and took home Best Picture in the Comedy/Musical category. As far as numbers go, MRS. DOUBTFIRE drew $219 million in the US and $222 million abroad.

Williams' upcoming projects include The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, Merry Friggin' Christmas, Night at the Museum 3 and Absolutely Anything. He is also starring in the TV series The Crazy Ones opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar. Among his past film credits are Lee Daniels' The Butler, August Rush, Man of the Year, Death to Smoochy, Bicentennial Man, Patch Adams, What Dreams May Come, Good Will Hunting, Flubber, The Birdcage, Aladdin, Hook and more. The actor has also appeared on Broadway in Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo and Robin Williams: Live on Broadway.

Columbus's upcoming films include Pixels and The Secret Lives of Road Crews. He has also helmed RENT, two of the Harry Potter films, Bicentennial Man, Stepmom, Home Alone, Adventures in Babysitting and more.
