Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on another dual role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway: Norman Osborn / The Green Goblin in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark. Cuccioli will play his first performance on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

Patrick Page, who originated the role, will play his final performance on Sunday, August 5, 2012 in order to take on the role of another quintessential villain, Comte de Guiche in the Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming production of Cyrano De Bergerac. Page was honored with the 2012 Actors' Equity Foundation's annual Richard Seff Award and nominated for a 2012 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark.

"There aren't a lot of actors out there who can pull off utterly likable and totally terrifying at the same time, and so we feel extremely lucky that the great Robert Cuccioli has agreed to take on this role," said producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris. "Of course, this announcement is bittersweet for all of us, because throughout the extraordinary history of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, Patrick Page has been there every step of the way – as a mentor, cheerleader, spokesperson, company leader and consummate performer. We are, of course, sorry to see him go, but will all be cheering him on in Cyrano."

Robert Cuccioli made his Broadway debut as Inspector Javert in Les Miserables, and, is best known for his critically acclaimed performance as the duel title roles in the Broadway hit Jekyll & Hyde, for which he received a Tony nomination, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award, FANY Award and Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award. Off-Broadway credits include Temporary Help, Enter The Guardsman, And The World Goes 'Round (1991 Outer Critics Circle Award), Gigi, The Rothschilds, Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris and Dietrich & Chevalier. Equally respected for his work in the Classics and Contemporary Plays as well as Musicals, Robert has performed at such notable Regional Theatres as The Guthrie (Antony & Cleopatra), Paper Mill Playhouse (1776, Oklahoma, Lend Me A Tenor, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound Of Music), The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ (Amadeus, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Carnival, Othello), The Shakespeare Theatre of DC ( Hamlet, Lorenzzaccio 2006 Helen Hayes Award Nomination), the McCarter Theatre (Fiction, The School for Scandal), George Street Playhouse (The Seafarer, A Moon To Dance By with Jane Alexander) and most recently at the historic Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC (1776). Parker quickly learns that with great power comes great responsibility as he tries to juggle the demands of high school and home life, while battling The Green Goblin and his band of super villains as they try to take down New York City and destroy everything Peter holds dear – including the beautiful girl-next-door, Mary Jane Watson. This high-flying groundbreaking and history-making production brings this story – inspired by more than fifty years of Marvel comic books – thrillingly to life!

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark now plays the following performance schedule: Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
