According to a recent casting notice, the upcoming revival of BORN YESTERDAY will open in mid-April in a Broaway theatre that has not yet been determined.

As previously reported by BroadwayWorld,  both Jim Belushi and Nina Arianda are rumored to star in the production. Nina Arianda, who recently starred in Off Broadway's VENUS IN FUR, would play Billie Dawn, the part made famous by Judy Holiday in the original Broadway production from 1946 and the 1950 film. Comedian Jim Belushi, would play Brock. Tony award winner Doug Hughes is set to direct the production.

In Born Yesterday, an uncouth, corrupt tycoon, Harry Brock, brings his showgirl Mistress Billie Dawn with him to Washington, D.C. When Billie's ignorance becomes a liability to Brock's business dealings, he hires a journalist, Paul Verrall, to educate his girlfriend. In the process of learning, Billie Dawn realizes how corrupt her boyfriend is and begins interfering with his plans to bribe a Congressman into passing legislation that would allow Brock's business to make more money.
