Present Company, a sponsored project of the Austin Creative Alliance, will return to East Austin's Rain Lily Farm this Fall for 12 performances of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Promoting the philosophy of "accessible & immediate art," SHAKESPEARE ON THE FARM is a free, professional production, presented as a gift to the community with the support of local businesses and organizations. Performances will run October 9th- November 1st, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at Rain Lily Farm, 914 Shady Lane.

This marks Present Company's fourth season and sixth production at Rain Lily, an urban organic farm and privately-owned residence that generously contributes to the growth and education of the Austin community. This Fall's SHAKESPEARE ON THE FARM will feature Present Company's signature preshow, "The Shakespeare Field Guide," a Spanish-language synopsis for non-English speakers, and a free educational workshop on October 25th, all to further Present Company's mission of making theatre accessible to all ages and to underserved communities. Directed by Present Company CoArtistic Director Lindsay Doleshal, The Tempest will feature an enterprising and innovative set constructed out of found and repurposed items and designed by Austin's Ia Enstera; Present Company resident Sound Designer, Jason Farmer, will again create an original score to accompany the production.

Seating will begin at 6:30pm on performance nights, and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy an evening of inventive Shakespeare under the stars. A donation of $10-$20 is suggested for guests able to support, and Present Company will be launching a kickstarter campaign to fuel the event. RSVPs encouraged at presentcompanytheatre.com.
