Poet Kurt Boone Set for Radiator Literary Journal Launch Event, 8/13

New York City's celebrated "Messenger Poet" Kurt Boone will be among the participants at a reading / launch party for Praytell's Radiator - a new literary journal - on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe located at 126 Crosby Street (between Prince & Jersey Street) in Manhattan. Boone, who will read from his most recent poetry collection " The Skyscraper Shuffle" (Kurt Boone Books - ISBN: 1-934690-79-1 / 978-1-934690-79-6), will be joined by other Radiator contributories including Joshua Feldman, Christine Friar, Meredith Haggerty, David Thomas Martinez, Chris Messer and Bianca Stone at the celebration of the new publication.

"I am excited to be included in the publication," says Kurt who in addition to being a freelance writer and independent author has also worked as a foot messenger (the fastest in the city) for over 20 years. Profiled in all of the city's major newspapers and a contributor to PBS "Metro Focus" and "Narratively", Boone is the author or several books including "Looking For Myself", "Inside Grand Central Terminal", "On The Subway", "New York Alleycats", "Urban Theory: Critical Thoughts In America" "Messenger Poet". and "Asphalt Warrior."

Produced by Brooklyn-based creative communications agency Praytell, Radiator showcases the leading edge of Brooklyn & NYC and is full of ideas from both up and coming and established local talents. Copies of the journal will be available for purchase at the Housing Works event and all funds raised through sales will be donated directly to Housing Works, benefiting their mission to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS.
