Pinocchio's Marionette Theater to Present THE LITTLE MERMAID, 8/23-24

The Garden Theatre has announced a new partnership with Pinocchio's Marionette Theater with performances of The Little Mermaid, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm, and Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 1pm and 2:30pm at the Garden Theatre (160 West Plant Street, Winter Garden).

Founded in 1999, Pinocchio's first toured its productions, later having a Winter Park location until moving to the Altamonte Mall in 2009. With its first performances since leaving its Altamonte Mall location in July, Pinocchio's Marionette Theater has created a mobile set for these Garden Theatre performances as the company now looks to bring classic stories to life by touring with shows in venues across the state.

In this version of The Little Mermaid, string puppets enact the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale in a funny, original musical version set in Florida. Mermaids and manatees sing and play, try to keep their spring clean, while watching out for the sea witch.
