The Guthrie is pleased to present Warm Beer, Cold Women, produced and directed by Robert O. Berdahl. Warm Beer, Cold Women opens February 1 and plays through February 17, 2008 in the Dowling Studio.

"Some of the Twin Cities' finest musicians come together to create a retrospective look at the songwriting of that bard of the bums, Tom Waits. Featuring a band of six musicians and three singer/performers, Warm Beer, Cold Women is a fantastically twisted evening of orphaned songs, bruised music and good humor. From the rickety pump organ melodies to the raucous bullhorn anthems, there's something for everyone here," explain press notes.

The cast features Katy Hays, Dennis Curley and Robert O. Berdahl. The band consists of Dan Chouinard (Piano, Organ, Tuba), Gary Rue (Guitars, Banjo), Chris Bates (Upright Bass), Matt Weaver (Drums, Percussion), Mark Stillman (Accordion), Christopher Thompson (Saxophones).

The creative team are Robert O. Berdahl (Director and Set Design), Dan Chouinard (Musical Director), Lynda Myers (Costume Design), Karin Olson (Lighting Design), Brandon Smith (Sound Design), Benjamin Netzley (Stage Manager)

Tickets are priced from $22 to $34 and are on sale through the Guthrie Box Office at 612.377.2224, toll-free 877.44.STAGE and online at www.guthrietheater.org
