On Thursday, August 22, Guild Hall hosted a staged reading of The Whisper, A New Comedy by Eugene Pack. Described as a hilarious and unforgettable 'girls night out' weekend in just 90 minutes, the event starred two-time Tony Award winner and film star Matthew Broderick, Tony Award winner and television star Jane Krakowski, Emmy Award winning television star Pamela Adlon, and Academy Award nominee Jennifer Tilly in the one-night-only, live benefit reading.

The cast also included Drama Desk Award winner Dayle Reyfel. The LA Times has called Pack "a prodigiously gifted storyteller." Emmy award nominee Pack's last play Columbus and Amsterdam was presented last summer at Guild Hall to a sold-out crowd.

The evening benefitted the Felix Organization, which provides inspiring opportunities and new experiences to enrich the lives of children who are growing up in the foster care system.
