The Theatre Project/SCV held its third "Salon Series" fundraiser July 28, 2007 and received $5,000 from Mission Valley Bank, helping raise the necessary funds to kick off the Santa Clarita Valley's own professional theatre company.

Andrea Slominski and Mark Salyer, co-Producing Artistic Directors of The Theatre Project/SCV introduced performances from Julia Gregory (Showboat) who sang "Coronet Man" from Funny Girl, Christopher Youngsman (Grease) who sang "I'm Young and Healthy" from 42nd Street and Kate Steele and Graham Hamilton who performed a comedic scene from the play Third.  Victoria Oscar (Les Miserables National Tour) closed out the evening singing songs from Gypsy.

Gregory and Youngsman also gave guests a teaser of music from The Theatre Project/SCV's upcoming benefit performance of The World Goes 'Round, which will have four shows on the Mainstage of The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, September 20-23.  The World Goes 'Round is an acclaimed musical revue that pays tribute to the music of Broadway songwriting legends John Kander & Fred Ebb, who are responsible for such classic musicals as Chicago, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Curtains, and numerous others.
