New York, June 12, 2013--Tony winners Alan Cumming ("Macbeth," "Cabaret") and Audra McDonald ("Porgy and Bess," "Carousel") are two of this year's "Made in NY" Awards recipients who represent the Broadway community.

For the eight time, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Katherine Oliver hosted the annual "Made in NY" Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the city's traditional media, entertainment, and digital media industries, at Gracie Mansion last Monday night.

Besides Cumming and McDonald, "Project Runway" host and executive producer Heidi Klum; Oscar-nominated director Spike Lee; president of HBO Documentary Films Sheila Nevins; social networking site Tumblr; and founders of The Weinstein Company and Miramax Films Harvey and Bob Weinstein were also honored at the event.

Mayor Bloomberg also presented to Barbara Walters, Emmy Award-winning television host and broadcast journalist, this year's "Made in NY" Award for Lifetime Achievement.

"Kinky Boots'" Harvey Fierstein and Annaleigh Ashford presented a musical number from the Tony Award-winning musical.
