On Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 7:30 PM, organist Renée Anne Louprette will perform a program spanning centuries of organ music. The program opens with gems from Spanish composers of the 16th-18th centuries. Closing the first half is a selection by Swiss organist/composer Guy Bovet (b. 1942), a specialist of Hispanic organ music. The second half of the program features two selections by 20th century French composer Jehan Alain, including his most famous work Litanies. The recital ends with the world premiere of Diptyque - Mannahatta 1611-2011 by organist/composer David Briggs.
