5@5 at DiMenna Solo Piano Series presents Natalya Antonova in concert on Saturday, September 24 @ 5:00 PM, as the ninth program of their 2016 performance series, curated by Mirian Conti, at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street in Manhattan.

The concert will feature Schumann's Kreisleriana, Op. 16, along with 4 Waltzes by Chopin and Alexander Scriabin's Etude Op 2, No. 1 in C sharp minor, Etude Op. 42, No. 5 in C sharp minor, Two Poems Op 32, Etude Op. 42, No. 4 in F sharp major and Etude Op. 8, No.12 in D sharp minor.

Natalya Antonova started her piano studies at the age of 4 as a protégé in Leningrad Conservatory. She made her debut with the Leningrad Philharmonic at the age of 16. As a soloist of two major concert managements: "State Concert" and "Soviet Union Concert", she concertized in Russia, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Ukraine, Armenia, Byelorussia and other countries like Germany, France, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. The same month she graduated the prestigious Leningrad Conservatory, she accepted an invitation from them to become the youngest professor ever being appointed for this position in the history of the school. After 10 years of serving, she accepted a position of Professor of Piano in the Russian Academy of Music in Moscow (former Gnessin Institute of Music). Among the many hundreds of her former students are winners of International and National Competitions, successful artists and teachers all over the world. Natalya Antonova has given hundreds of master classes and lectures throughout the world including Moscow Academy of Music, Paris Conservatory, Budapest Conservatory, Peabody Conservatory, New England Conservatory, Seoul National University, Singapore University, Taipei National University, Cincinnati Conservatoire, St. Louis University, Interlochen International Academy and others. She participated in many International Festivals - in Hungary, Germany, South Korea, USA, Russia, etc. Each summer she conducts piano classes in the framework of the International Festival in Paris, France. She judged numerous competitions such as: Corpus Christi International Competition in Texas, Sibelius International Competition in Ohio, Gina Bachauer in Utah, Hilton Head International Competition, SC, Missouri International Competition, MO, Moulin-Ande International Competition in France, Seoul International Competition, and New Orleans International Piano Competition in New Orleans. She is currently a tenured professor at the Eastman School of Music.
