Tribeca New Music continues its 2016-2017 Festival season with the NakedEye Ensemble giving the NYC premiere of six new works by composers Richard Belcastro, Zack Browning, Moritz Eggert, Monica Pearce, Jude Traxler, and Randall Woolf, with a recent work by Ethan Wickman.

The concert takes place at Nancy Manocherian's - the cell, 338 West 23rd Street (bet. 8th & 9th Ave.) in NYC, on Sunday, November 13 at 4PM. Tickets range in price from $15 to $30.

NakedEye - Storylines Crossing

Says TNM Director Preston Stahly, "If you don't know Ju-Ping Song and NakedEye, you're in for a treat. We're thrilled to bring in from Lancaster, PA a group that has successfully commissioned so many delicious new works from a variety of living composers, soon to go on their debut album. I first saw Ju-Ping perform Moritz Eggert's One-Man Band in 2014 and was blown away. The whole ensemble bring this vigor and character to the stage. Not to be missed!"

"NakedEye's evening Storylines Crossing reflects both the journey of the ensemble into their point of convergence in NakedEye, and the many stories that will be told in the works featured. Some of them have been written for the group, others have become a staple of our repertoire. All of them have a story to tell. Because members of the group come from diverse stylistic backgrounds, our music reflects the rock, jazz, experimental, and classical genres that define each musician separately. For us and for composers writing for us, this is a journey where storylines cross from the personal into the musical." - NakedEye

Randall Woolf takes Chopin to the precipice of chaos, Ethan Wickman sings his atomic opera, Jude Traxler counterpoints in rhythmic virtuosity, Richard Belcastro turns whiskey shots into toy piano and electric guitar licks, Monica Pearce riffs iPhone text messages into music, Zack Browning gives a Vietnam War rock tribute, and Moritz Eggert is a one- (wo)man fury band. Storylines Crossing is also the title for NakedEye's upcoming debut album.
