NZZ am Sonntag & Zurich Film Festival to Launch New Film Magazine FRAME

The NZZ am Sonntag will collaborate with the Zurich Film Festival to launch the film magazine Frame in March. It will take a look behind the scenes of the film and entertainment industry, and provide in-depth reports about its most important players.

The NZZ am Sonntag and the Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) will launch the film magazine Frame. It is set to contain extensive reportages, background articles, analyses, critiques and interviews with stars and directors about cinema, film and television series. "Frame takes a look behind the scenes of the film industry and fuels a Passion for the latest cinema films and TV series with its well-founded and entertaining background articles," explains Nadja Schildknecht and Karl Spoerri, the Zurich Film Festival's Co-Directors. "It also casts a light on the film industry and the Swiss film scene." Although watching films is one of the Swiss population's favourite pastimes, there is currently no contemporary magazine in this country that gets really close to stars and directors. "According to a MACH survey, the NZZ am Sonntag has the readership with the greatest affinity to film, that's why we are expanding our coverage of film and television with Frame," explained Felix E. Müller, the NZZ am Sonntag's Editor-in-Chief. "We want to set our self apart from what is currently available with respect to content by publishing longer, more in-depth articles. Our interviews will not be of the trivial kind based on information gained at group press conferences. Instead, we will visit Hollywood stars and industry greats who we will access thanks to the Zurich Film Festival's contacts."

Frame will present up-coming film countries in extensive reportages and reveal with plenty of images which stars on the Red Carpet at Cannes look great in which outfit. Plenty of space has also been set aside for domestic cinema. Frame introduces new television series and imparts which Video-on-Demand titles are worth seeing. The NZZ am Sonntag film editors are responsible for the magazine's contents; however, the pool of authors also includes such representatives of the film industry as This Brunner, doyen of the international film and art scene.

The first edition of Frame will appear in March with a cover story on the Oscars. This quarterly magazine will be published as a supplement to the NZZ am Sonntag, but will also be available to purchase separately at kiosks and digitally via the i-Tunes store.
