NYC Parks will showcase the works of young media makers from throughout the city. The evening will highlight the diverse voices of young people using digital media to tell their stories, and celebrate the work that the NYC Parks Computer Resource Center's RECYouth program is doing to support the development of these young voices.

The event will take place today, January 30, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Arsenal in Central Park, 830 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan.

RECYouth provides teens between 13 and 17 the opportunity to learn and build their media making skills in video, photography, audio, and graphic design. Participants learn and utilize industry standard software and equipment, explore key community issues, and are lead through the key stages of the media making process. This event is an opportunity for participants to exhibit the results of this learning and self exploration.
