Maryland Ensemble Theatre's MET-X will present, "Crab Over Turkey: A Holiday Sketch Show", a collaboration between the hilarious improv troupes, Temple of Improv's Quattro Formaggio (QF) and Baltimore Improv Group's Minority Re'port.

This is QF's third production at the MET. They are excited to be diving into the world of sketch with their friends from Minority Re'port. QF is a Frederick-based long form improv troupe comprised of actors, directors, and writers who explore hilarity in the awkward truth. "Crab Over Turkey" brings different approaches to improvisation and sketch writing to the stage together. QF member and member of MET's own resident improve troupe The Comedy Pigs, Giovanni Kavota, said "It's an amazing opportunity to play and write with the folks at BIG; especially Minority Re'port. They have a lot of fun on stage and they carry that fun into the rehearsal process."

Mike Harris, Executive Director of BIG, a writer for the sketch show said, "The Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) is thrilled to be combining the power of the acronym with the brilliant folks from Maryland Ensemble Theater (MET). While we've collaborated on improvised shows with each other, now we go into the brave new world of sketch writing/arguing over grammar."

"Crab Over Turkey" will be presented as part of MET-X, which is programming, usually self-produced by MET ensemble members, created outside of MET's Mainstage season to expand the collective horizons of the ensemble and its audience. Performances are November 21, 22, 28, and 29 at 8pm at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St.), located downtown in the historic FSK Hotel. Tickets are $13.50 (all fees included) and may be purchased online at marylandensemble.org, by phone at (301) 694-4744 or in person at the MET box office.
