Mary Phillips will sing the role of Ježibaba in this evening's performance of Dvorák's Rusalka, replacing Dolora Zajick, who is ill.

Phillips made her Met debut in 2006 as Preziosilla in Verdi's La Forza del Destino. Her other roles with the company have included Rossweisse and Schwertleite in Wagner's Die Walküre, the latter in the opera's 2011 new production premiere; and Mrs. Alexander in both the 2008 Met premiere of Philip Glass's Satyagraha and the opera's 2011 revival. She has sung Ježibaba with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

This evening's performance of Rusalka, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, also stars Renée Fleming in the title role; Emily Magee as the Foreign Princess; Piotr Beczala as the Prince; and John Relyea as the Water Sprite.
