Liars & Believers, Artists in residence at the American Repertory Theater, kicks off its 2013/14 season on February 12, 2014 with Interference, a one-night only show in collaboration with director Steven Bogart and over a dozen local performers across the arts.

Called "inspired" by The New York Times and dubbed "the region's most experimental and visionary artists" by the Boston Survival Guide, Liars & Believers expands the language of live performance. In its first four years, the LAB produced five original shows in Boston, two of which went on to win awards at the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Interference explores themes of courage in the face of terror and how a community reacts to tragedy and trauma. In the style of all LAB shows, it includes drama, music, dance, animation, film, soundscape and an interactive installation. Interference is inspired by Picasso's monumental painting "Guernica" and the music of Singer Mali (of Jaggery) from her "10 Paintings/10 Songs" collaboration with Bogart.

The ensemble includes: Steven Bogart, Singer Mali, Liz Adams, Veronica Barron, Mary Bichner, Sophia Cacciola & Michael J. Epstein, Claire Davies, Jennifer Hicks, John J. King, Anthony Leva, Ruth Lingford, Justine Ludwig, Sophorl Ngin, and Nuda Veritas.
