Looking for Lightning, a past-life-themed solo show written and performed by Elise Hudson, directed by Sophie Netanel, has been extended! Added Performance: 11/13 at 6PM in the 2016 United Solo Theatre Festival, the world's largest solo theatre festival, currently in its 7th season in New York City at Theatre Row.

What do reincarnation, love, and continental drift have in common? In Looking for Lightning, a young romantic visits with three past lives (an Elizabethan-era handmaiden to the queen, a pre-WWI Russian cabaret singer, and an ex-socialite of 60's Atlanta) and learns a likely truth about what it is that we are all searching for, and what we need to do to get it.

What began as Elise Hudson's (writer/performer) final grad school recital at Brown University/Trinity Rep in Providence, Rhode Island bloomed into a creative epiphany and exploration of both her conscious and subconscious past and present. The three past lives (Susanna, Ilsa, and Mary Jane) developed in different ways and with unusual sources...one is based on a true story whose antagonist became Elise's muse, another came out of a dream she had repeatedly over a year ago, and the third came out of an actual past life regression...but not in the order! See the show and venture a guess as to which is which! Her first performance with United Solo on 9/16 sold out, as did her encore on 10/25.
