KEY & PEELE's Jordan Peele Joins TADA! Board of Directors

The Drama Desk award-winning TADA! Youth Theater welcomes two distinguished members to the Board of Directors. Jordan Peele, an Emmy & Peabody award-winner and TADA! alumnus, and Dr. Marcia Dunn, ophthalmologist and devoted mother who has been loyal to TADA! ever since her daughter joined the Resident Youth Ensemble.

Jordan Peele is a TADA! alumnus, Emmy & Peabody award-winning comedian, actor, and producer. He is best known for starring in the Comedy Central sketch series "Key & Peele" and for his five seasons as a cast member on "MADtv". Peele began his comedy career at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam and The Second City in Chicago. Since ending "Key & Peele" in 2015, Peele was a recurring character on ABC's Life in Pieces, FX series "Fargo", "Bob's Burgers", and Adult Swim's "Children's Hospital". He hosted TADA!'s 30th Anniversary Celebration in May of 2016 and launched his first movie as a writer, "Keanu". His upcoming ventures include a satirical thriller he wrote & directed called "Get Out" which will be released February of 2017 plus Peele is teaming with Tracy Morgan in an FX comedy series. He has said that he is "thrilled" to join TADA!'s Board. A goal of his membership will be to mentor Resident Youth Ensemble Members interested in improve comedy at TADA!.

Dr. Marcia Dunn is a board-certified ophthalmologist with degrees from Brown University and Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. She has been in practice for more than 20 years and is affiliated with multiple hospitals including Mount Sinai. Dr. Dunn is on the Mount Sinai Department of Medicine Advisory Council, is a member of the Dalton Council, and member oF Brown University's Internship & Women's Leadership Councils. In addition to her medical credits, Dr. Dunn sits on the Trustee Board at Parrish Museum of Art and Roundabout Theatre, and is on the Whitney Museum of Photography's Committee. She resides in NYC with her husband and two children.

Since 1984, TADA!'s mission is to provide young people from all different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently. TADA! is a unique Drama Desk award-winning nonprofit youth theater that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. TADA! offers a free, year-round, pre-professional training & youth development program through the Resident Youth Ensemble (ages 8-18); musical theater classes/camps for the public; as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Through TADA!'s high-quality work, young people develop advanced skills and attributes in leadership, self-confidence, communication, responsibility, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving - skills that help with growing up and are essential to their success both in school and in life.
