John Glover to Join NBC's HEROES

Variety is reporting that Tony Award-winner and five-time Emmy Award-nominee John Glover will join the NBC series HEROES. He will portray the father of Sylar, the series main villian.

Glover made his Broadway musical debut in The Drowsy Chaperone, after receiving Drama Desk, Drama League and Lortel Award nominations for his critically acclaimed role in Jon Robin Baitz's play The Paris Letter. He was awarded a 1995 Tony Award® for the dual roles of John and James Jeckyll in Terrence McNally's play Love! Valour! Compassion!, and also recreated his roles in the film version.  A five-time Emmy Award-nominee, Glover is known to television audiences for his recurring role as "Lionel Luthor" on the CW series "Smallville."

The most celebrated musical of the 2006 season and the recipient of thirteen major awards, The Drowsy Chaperone received the most Tony Awards of any musical -five in total - including Best Book and Score, seven Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical, four Outer Critic's Circle Awards including Outstanding Score and the Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical.
