Jessie Mueller, Andrew Lippa and Margo Seibert have joined the lineup for An Evening of Song benefiting the Art Attack Foundation at Birdland on Monday, September 15th. As previously announced, Chita Rivera, Rosie O'Donnell, BD Wong, Anika Larsen and more will also perform.

This one-night-only show promises an array of standards, pop hits and original songs, from top artists on Yellow Sound Label. Founded by Dan Watt, the Art Attack Foundation's mission is to inspire community leaders, businesses, and individuals to participate and contribute in the education, enhancement and development of young performing artists. AAF is dedicated to providing opportunities, funding, and encouragement to assist young performers in realizing their full artistic potential.

Jessie Mueller states, "I was lucky to be exposed to the Arts at a young age through my parents, who are also artists. When I said, "I want to go to school for musical theatre" they understood and didn't shake their heads. But the financial burden of studying in the Arts was a lot to take on. My parents understood the risk, but not all do. Talented kids need help to pursue and develop their talents. That's what Art Attack does. It helps provide the actual means to get these kids started. I am proud to support that."

Others Participating in this song-filled evening are: Telly Leung, (Godspell), Anika Larsen (Beautiful), Andy Karl (Rocky), Jim Caruso (Cast Party), Donald Webber Jr. (Motown), Julie Foldesi (Newsies), Jeff Blumenkrantz (Murder For Two), Christopher Jackson (Holler If Ya Hear Me), songwriters Marcy Hsisler and Zina Goldrich (Dear Edwina), and many more. Helping kick off the evening will be Rosie O'Donnell, co-founder of the Maravel Arts Center, which has received scholarship support from the Art Attack Foundation.

Mr. Lippa says, "Who nurtured my earliest love of music? A music teacher. Who cast me in a musical so I could explore acting and singing and self-expression? A drama teacher. Who led me through Bach and Beethoven to Comden and Green to Kander and Ebb? An arts educator who believed in giving a young man exposure to things he would never otherwise have known about. Thank goodness for Art Attack and the work they do in not only educating but for inspiring young people to reach their dreams whether those dreams are to be a Broadway star or simply to sit in a concert hall and be able to comprehend what they are hearing. Bravo! "

This show is part of The Broadway at Birdland concert series and will take place on Monday, September 15 at 7pm at Birdland (315 West 44 Street, NYC) and is under the musical direction by Emmy Award-winner Michael Croiter.
