The Original Broadway Cast Recording of the smash hit Jersey Boys, winner of the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, moved to #1 on Billboard's Top Cast Albums Chart this week.  Winner of 4 2006 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Jersey Boys recently performed a tribute to "The Sopranos" on the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Jersey Boys is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

"Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, about a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty," expain press notes.

Jersey Boys opened to critical acclaim at the August Wilson Theatre on November 6, 2005.  The National Tour of Jersey Boys opened to rave reviews on December 10 at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco where it has just been extended to September 30.  The show closed on August 30 in Los Angeles, where it opened to rave reviews and broke box office records.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording is available now on Rhino Records. www.JerseyBoysInfo.com
