Jaded Eyes Arts Collective Presents THE FOX, 7/18-26
Jaded Eyes Arts Collective presents the NYC revival of The Fox by Allan Miller this July. Unseen in New York City since its debut at the Roundabout Theatre in 1982, The Fox promises to bring to the stage a riveting exploration of powerful themes on male/female power dynamics, femininity, sexuality, and the complex relationship between our physical and mental desires. Tickets can be purchased by visiting thefox.brownpapertickets.com.
Set in rural England in 1918, the three-person psychological drama first introduces Nellie and Jill, two friends who have chosen to reject traditional domestic roles to fend for themselves on an isolated farmstead. Facing myriad hardships, including weak crops and a sly fox wreaking havoc on their hens, they are unexpectedly approached by Henry, a charismatic, capable soldier making his way home after the war. Henry offers to catch the fox and help on the farm in exchange for food and shelter, and he soon becomes an integral part of the household and a dominating force in the women's lives. But neither of them could anticipate how this stranger may alter their future and their relationship forever.
