Veteran actress and cabaret artist Irina Maleeva returns to the Los Angeles stage with her one-woman musical revue, "Illusions," on the mainstage at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, beginning November 1, 2014. The show will have a three week extended run playing Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 3pm.

The Champagne Opening Night gala will be on Saturday, November 1 and members of the Hollywood community and music world will be there to welcome Irina Maleeva home.

Between witty monologues and touching reminiscences of an amazing life well lived, Irina's sultry voice will beautifully interpret and personalize more than half dozen songs from her recently released CD "Illusions."

Featured songs in the show will include Amanda McBroom's "Crimes of the Heart" and "Portrait," Edith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose" and Yves Montand's "Autumn Leaves" among others.

Irina has traveled the world with her critically acclaimed one-woman shows, including "Passion, Pain and an Occasional Vodka Tonic," "Mata Hari's Last Dance" and "Irina A-Broad."

Irina describes "Illusions" as an intimate tale of an epic life well lived, and the production includes memories of her encounters with Piaf, Fellini, Visconti, Orson Welles as well as everyday heroes. Director and co-writer Randy Johnson, the writer/director of the 2014 Tony Award-nominated musical "A Night with Janis Joplin," says he is honored to be able to bring Irina's path of ultimate triumph over adversity to the stage.

"Illusions is a return to the style of the great European chanteuse from a time long gone by," he enthused. "It is a memorable and deeply personal tale of love, faith and enduring hope that will leave you wanting more."

Written by Irina Maleeva and Randy Johnson, "Illusions" will be directed by Randy Johnson (Elvis The Musical, One Night with Janis Joplin) with musical direction by Ed Martel. Tickets are $35 for evening performances, $20 for matinees and can be purchased at the Box Office or online at a number of sites including 411, Eventbrite and Goldstar Events.

The Hudson Theater is located at 6539 Santa Monica Blvd., in Hollywood. Street parking is available after 6pm.
