Idina Menzel To Perform at Greenvale, NY's Tilles Center

According to her official website, Idina Menzel will be performing at the Tilles Center in Greenvale, NY (Long Island) on March 28, 2009. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 12th.  However, members of Idina's official fan club will have access to pre-sale tickets. Idina Menzel's highly-anticipated solo album "I Stand' was released in-stores January 29th 2008. "I Stand" is a powerful collection of exquisite new songs written by the Tony Award winning actress, singer and songwriter. Menzel won a Tony Award for originating the role of Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway and also reprised her performance in London. The actress, who was last seen on stage in Michael John LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See at The Public Theatre, also reprised her Tony-nominated turn as Maureen in the recent film version of Rent.

Menzel played Amneris in Broadway's Aida, portrayed Kate in Andrew Lippa's off-Broadway musical The Wild Party and appeared in the City Center Encores! production of Hair, as well as in the Actors' Fund Benefit Concert of Funny Girl.  Other film credits include Ask the Dust, starring Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek, and Enchanted.
