After its 11th Summer Season in Riverside Park Hudson Warehouse, known as "The Other Free Shakespeare in the Park," is kicking off its second season indoors as the Resident Theater Company of the Bernie Wohl Center with a reading of The Last Disciple of Abraham by Paul Dervis.

"Though we are primarily a Classical company, the 'Writers-a-Go-Go' play reading series was created to promote the works of our contemporary playwrights," explains Artistic Director Nicholas Martin-Smith who will be directing the reading.

A writer herself, Assistant Artistic Director Susane Lee developed W.A.G.G. with the desire "to give voice and recognition to our living playwrights." Ms. Lee went on to explain, "W.A.G.G. works closely with the playwright and includes the writer in rehearsals and discussions with the actors as their play is developed. These plays are then considered for a fully mounted production within our five-play annual season."

This winter's season includes a production of Same River Twice, written by Benjamin Elterman, which was part of the 2012 W.A.G.G. reading series. The production, which will be directed by Ms. Lee, opens November 6th and runs Thursday through Saturday nights at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 7:00pm through November 16th. Performances will be held at Goddard Riverside's Bernie Wohl Center located at 647 Columbus Ave. at W.91st Street.
