San Francisco/>/>'s sit-down production of the Tony Award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in partnership with Energy 92.7 FM, present Gay Night at the Bee! Wednesday, June 14 at 8:00PM at the Post Street Theatre.

The gay-themed evening, part of the Energy LGBT series, will include a performance of the Broadway hit, followed by an after-party at Mecca/>/>, hosted by Energy morning show radio personalities Fernando and Greg the Gay Sportscaster.

In The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee "six young people in the throes of puberty learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser in this funny, tender and sardonic musical."  Robert Hurwitt of the San Francisco Chronicle calls Spelling Bee, "hilariously hip" and declares, "long may it run." And Robert Avila of the San Francisco Bay Guardian raves Spelling Bee is "a crowd-pleasing, brain-teasing wonderful hit musical."

The performance will take place at the Post Street Theatre, located on the 2nd floor of the Kensington Park Hotel at 450 Post Street, a half-block off Union Square/>, San Francisco.  The after-party will take place at Mecca/>/>, located at 2029 Market Street.

Tickets are available at the Post Street Theatre box office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and at www.ticketmaster.com.  Tickets range from $40–$66. Admission to Mecca/>/> is free.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is now playing at the Post Street Theatre. Performances are Tuesday through Friday at 8:00PM, Saturday at 2 & 8:00PM, and Sunday at 2 & 7:00PM.
