The Board of Directors along with Producing Artistic Director, David E. Leidholdt, have announced the 2015 Season of spectacular shows.

"I am so delighted to announce that we will be producing six Millbrook Playhouse premieres in our 2015 Season," said Leidholdt. "As we approach our 52nd season and my one year mark as Producing Artistic Director, I wanted to program a season that satisfies the mission of providing quality, professional theatre in Central Pennsylvania, and produce a unique experience that can only be derived from going to see live theatre. So get ready, we have a lot of new programs and events to look forward to, as well as plenty of Millbrook traditions."

Ryan Main Stage 2015 Season:
MARY POPPINS
- A Practically Perfect Family Musical. Based on the stories of P.L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film. Original Music and Lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, Book by Julian Fellowes.
Performances: June 18 - July 3.

The 2015 Main Stage will kick-off with the Central Pennsylvania premiere of everyone's favorite nanny in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure that is Mary Poppins. The jack-of-all-trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a mix of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it." One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way. Rated G.

GUYS AND DOLLS
- The Classic Oddball Musical Comedy. Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Music and Lyrics by Frank Loesser.
Performances: July 9 - July 19.

Considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. Guys and Dolls is set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breath down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend, nightclub performer Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Eventually, everyone ends up right where they belong. Featuring the classic songs "Sit-Down, You're Rockin' the Boat," "A Bushel and a Peck," "If I Were a Bell" and more. Bring your dice along! Rated G.

RING OF FIRE - THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH
- A Down Home Country Musical. Created by Richard Maltby Jr. Conceived by William Meade.
Performances: July 24 - August 2.

We will heat up the summer with the music of the legendary Johnny Cash. From the opening chords of vintage Country to Rockabilly, Rock n' Roll, searing ballads and gentle songs of love and deep faith, Ring of Fire packs a score that provides a rich fabric to lay down the story of Johnny Cash. Ring of Fire gives the music the spotlight, as a core group of talented actors and musicians celebrate the songs that are such a part of our collective experience. Rated PG.

Laughs, Mystery, Music and Nostalgia, lead the way at the Poorman Cabaret in 2015.
THE QUEEN OF BINGO
- A Laughfest Comedy. By Jeanne Michels and Phyllis Murphy.
Performances: June 11- June 21.

In the tradition of the hilarious sketches from the old Carol Burnett Show, comes the stage comedy The Queen of Bingo. Where can two sisters and best friends, Sis and Babe, who want to add a little zest, fun and excitement to their lives, find it? Bingo! On any Bingo night at St. Joseph's, you can find them and the many off-beat, colorful regulars. See it all through their eyes, as they dish the dirt, giggle like schoolgirls and share old memories. They compliment each other in ways only sisters can and they drive each other crazy in that same sisterly fashion. On this particular night, Babe and Sis share something new as they each confesses a secret and finds a special kind of redemption. Rated PG.

LEADING LADIES
- An Uproarious Farce. By Ken Ludwig.
Performances: June 26 - July 11.

From the author of Lend Me A Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, we bring you Leading Ladies. Two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing at the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long-lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! Romantic entanglements abound, especially when Leo falls head-over-petticoat in love with the old lady's vivacious niece. Rated PG - 13.

DIAL "M" FOR MURDER
- Classic Hitchcockian Murder Mystery. By Frederick Knott.
Performances July 16 - July 26.

Get ready all of you whodunit fans, cause you won't want to miss this call. Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. So Tony arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. Unfortunately, things go wrong, but Tony sees a way to turn events to his advantage as the former lover of Margot comes back into the picture. He almost gets away with it, but to tell you more would spoil the fun! Rated PG - 13.

MY VAUDEVILLE MAN - A NEW MUSICAL
- A Charming New Musical. By Jeff Hochhauser, music by Bob Johnston, and lyrics by Johnston and Hochhauser, based on "Letters of a Hoofer to His Ma."
Performances: July 31 - August 9.

"Just when you think the fate of the musical theatre is doomed...along comes a refreshing and delightful two-character show called, My Vaudeville Man." - Talk Entertainment. This is the story of a boy born to dance and the mother who fought to keep him home. Based on the life of famed eccentric tap dancer Jack Donahue and his mother who fights to keep her son from consorting with floozies, flossies and show people, and off the wicked vaudeville stage. What plain-speaking, God-fearing Irish mother wouldn't be upset? Rated PG-13.

THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES
- Smash off-Broadway Hit. Created by Roger Bean.
Performances: August 14 - August 23.

Join us as we transform the Poorman Cabaret into a High School Prom from 1958. That is where we meet the Wonderettes, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, we are treated to the girls performing such classic '50s and '60s songs as "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick on Your Collar," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It's My Party," and over 20 other classic hits! You've never had this much fun at a prom and you will never forget The Marvelous Wonderettes - a must-take musical trip down memory lane! "One irresistible musical! An utter charm bomb!" - NY Times.
