North Texas Performing Arts is proud to announce that Benjamin Brotzman is the new Managing Director for McKinney and Fairview Youth Theatre!

Benjamin is a graduate of Midwestern State University where he completed his BA in Theatre and then Western Illinois to complete his MFA in Directing. For the past ten years, Ben has been acting, directing, and serving as General Company Manager at the California Theatre Center. Ben directed more than 30 productions, served as Lighting Designer for over 50 productions, and designed sets for more than 40 productions.

According to Sara Egelston Akers, founder and Executive Director of North Texas Performing Arts, "Ben brings a wealth of technical theatre experience to North Texas Performing Arts which will be invaluable in our new theatre in Fairview. He has the heart of a servant, a love for literature, a collaborator, and visionary, and he can weld!"

Benjamin says, "Theatre for youth is a vital part of our world, and I am excited about the prospect of working with the youth of North Texas."

"The Fairview and McKinney Management Board is thrilled to have Benjamin Brotzman as part of our team. Not only does he bring great experience in technical and backstage theatre management, but most importantly he brings a passion for educating and training youth in all aspects of theatre and performing arts.
