The well-attended Eclectic play festival morphs into the more expansive and multicultural Fair Play Fest this autumn and continues the slightly longer, 30-minute time slot (as opposed to the 10-minute iteration of the festival, coming June 2016) started last December in the (longer) One-Act Play Fest. 5 different playwright/producers will each create a production without constraint of theme or style to see what can be created beyond the typical 10-minute boundary.

Why "Fair Play?" Leonard Goodisman founded the festival in June 2013, so any playwright could have the opportunity to put up and test their ideas onstage with an audience and be able to work out any kinks both in rehearsal and with audience feedback -- the festival is not limited to multicultural entries, though they are showcased in an effort to give voice to greater diversity in casting as well as creation.

Five performance pieces run the gamut of thematic matter in two nights: if you prefer a little evil with your politics or relish the insanity that often rises from love - from a play within a play based on an ancient Chinese poem to an Indonesian dance, the Fair Play Fest has it all in this Do-It-Yourself theatrical extravaganza!

Eclectic Theater's (longer) One-Act Play Festival features performance pieces by Leroy Chin, Leonard Goodisman, Parwati Martin, Lyssandra Norton, Nu Quang and Niluh Saraswatini as well as the talents of Amiee Decker, Ao Ding, Long Dinh, Steven Hancher, Troy Hightower, Jeff Salazar, Freddie Tse Alex Ung, and more!

Tix are $10 at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2364872 or $12 at the door. Free to AEA and SAG-AFTRA Members with card. The festival runs December 4 & 5 at 7:30pm.
