Clive Owen -- slated to make his Broadway debut this season in Roundabout's OLD TIMES -- is headed to Luc Besson's upcoming sci-fi film adaptation of VALERIAN.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that the actor has joined Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne in the project, based on the classic French comic strip, Valérian and Laureline.

DeHaan will play the lead, described as "a space- and time-traveling agent from a futuristic Earth," with Delevingne as "his red-haired companion, Laureline."

Owen will take on the role of 'Commander Arün Filitt'.

The actor currently stars in the TV series THE KNICK.

Among his film credits are the upcoming LAST KNIGHTS, as well as WORDS AND PICTURES, BLOOD TIES, DUPLICITY, CHILDREN OF MEN, SIN CITY, CLOSER and more.
