"The Road Less Traveled" is an exhibition of Christopher Burkett's best fine art photographs presented by the Michael Ingbar Gallery, the only gallery in New York City to display works by the Oregon based photographer.

Christopher Burkett explores the United States extensively for over 30 years through the lens of his large format camera. His use of 8"x10" transparencies and Cibachrome prints reveals our natural surroundings with an exceptional level of luminosity and vibrant color that is often absent in today's digital images. His observant compositions simultaneously convey both the magnificent grandeur and inviting intimacy of his natural subjects. The contemplative, serene photographic process inherent to large format photography leads Burkett to faithfully capture the diverse American landscape only in its purest and most beautiful natural moments. A recipient of the 2004 Hasselblad Masters Award, Burkett is widely regarded as one of the greatest fine art landscape color photographers working today.

The Road Less Traveled opens Wednesday, December 17th at 6pm at the Michael Ingbar Gallery located at 568 Broadway in Soho.
