Cedric Gervais' 'Summertime Sadness' Remix Hits No. 16 on Billboard Charts

French producer Cedric Gervais' remix of Lana Del Rey's beautiful track "Summertime Sadness" (Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais) has dominated the global EDM scene. After its enormous club success, the track is now steadily taking over U.S. airwaves. This week it ranks at #16 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, #9 on the Hot Digital Tracks chart and #4 on the Dance/Electronic chart.

At radio, Gervais' take is now positioned at #11 on the Top 40 and #20 at Rythmic. It can be heard on Z100 in New York City where it is in power rotation and it is the #1 most played song on KIIS FM in Los Angeles, with many other Top 40 stations supporting.

While this forceful version created by Gervaid makes its ascent in the U.S., it simultaneously is a smash in the U.K. It has now moved up to #4 in the Official UK Singles Charts and has been added to Radio One's A-List. It is also currently standing at #18 on U.S. iTunes and #2 on U.K. iTunes Singles Charts. When it made its initial debut in February via Spinnin' Records, Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais's "Summertime Sadness" topped HYPEM and received overwhelming DJ support from the likes of such heavy hitters as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold, just to name a few. It held the #1 position on Beatport's Top 100 for seven consecutive weeks and still remains on the chart.

Cedric Gervais has been DJing and producing electronic music since his teens and was the youngest artist to ever play at Paris' famed nightclub Le Queen. Today he resides in Miami, FL and has been a staple of the South Beach club scene, holding residencies at Liv and Story in Miami as well as at the Wynn's Surrender and XS in Las Vegas while DJing around the world. His last successful chart single was "Molly"-one of 2012's most commercial dance songs-which landed at #26 on U.K. charts and has racked over 4.3 million YouTube views.
