Deadline reports that Broadway, big and small screen vet Rita Moreno has signed on to co-star opposite Natasha Lyonne in NBC's OLD SOUL comedy pilot from Amy Poehler.

Read the original report here.

OLD SOUL follows Nadia (Lyonne), a former rebel who creates a business caring for the elderly and finds friendship with many of her clients.

Moreno will play one of Nadia's clients, coincidentally also named Rita, who is described as a "flamboyant, larger-than-life Broadway vet who has been happily married to her writing partner/husband for over 50 years."

Moreno is one of the few performers ever to have earned an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony. She won an Oscar for her portrayal of 'Anita' in the film adaptation of West Side Story.

She will next be seen on the big screen in Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. She has appeared on television in Happily Divorced, Cane, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Ugly Betty, Wanted, The Guardian, Oz and more.

Moreno has starred on Broadway in The Odd Couple, Wally's Cafe, The Ritz -- for which she won a 1975 Tony Award -- The National Health, Gantry, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window and Skydrift, as well as She Loves Me in the West End.
