New Audiences
by Robert Diamond - August 24, 2010

There are few theatre-related causes that I'm more passionate about than bringing new audiences to Broadway, which was one of the many motivating factors for creating BroadwayWorld.com back in 2003.

In yesterday's The Wall Street Journal, Pia Catton wrote a wonderful piece, New Regards For Broadway, which is all about the new TDF program, 'New Audiences for New York' an initiative that was designed to encourage communities in New York that don't go to Broadway to do just that. A slew of shows ranging from FELA! to HAIR were exposed to those who hadn't seen Broadway shows before or who had very rarely ranging from the elderly to the young to the economically challenged.

It's a heart warming piece and if you're not familiar with ALL the great things that the Theatre Development Fund does (aside from TKTS of course), click here
