Black Coffee Productions has announced selected works that will be given public staged readings at THEATERLAB during the week of January 16th, 2017 as part of the Fresh Grind Festival:

Bright and Brave Music & Lyrics by Peter Charney and Jack Saleeby, Book by Noah Silva

Deeper Alexandria by Emerson Fd

Flat Fish by Sean Dunnington

How to Talk to a Girl Wearing Headphones by Adrienne Dawes

I Want to Eat Brains (or the Day I Killed All My Friends) Lyrics & Book by Lily Dwoskin, Music by Danny Ursetti

Promised Kingdom by T.J. Petty

Thank You Notes: Headed to Heaven W/ Flat Jimmy Fallon by Vicki Vodrey

Tutus by Natalie Margolin

The ten plays and musicals were selected from over sixty submissions by Black Coffee Productions' residents, dramaturg Ashley Gerhardt, composer Richie Kormos, casting director Ariana Starr, and executive producer Georgina Simon.

The selected works will receive at least one public staged reading at THEATERLAB (www.theaterlabnyc.com), a 70-seat white box in Manhattan.

"Black Coffee Productions is thrilled to present these ten chosen plays and musicals in New York," said Simon. "It is a pleasure to provide a special opportunity to these playwrights, composers, and lyricists from across the country."
