Day two of battles is upon us, friends! Tonight, in a one hour episode, The Voice showed us three Battles, one with Christina, CeeLo, and Blake's team. The talent was intense, the songs were amazing, and the steals...well, and I don't want to ruin anything. Unfortunately as the show progresses we get less coach banter so I don't have a funny coach story to start us off. Blake did mimic punching a mail box causing Adam to fall over laughing...yeah, you kind of had to be there. Better get right into it, then, yes?

The first battle was a Team Xtina Battle between Jacob Poole and Matthew Schuler, who sang the popular Fall Out Boy Song "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark." This high energy song had the two young men performing their hardest and singing their absolute best. It was so good, that none of the coaches could help Christina in picking a clear winner. Christina finally chose Matthew, the young R&B singer, leaving Jacob Poole to go home, not earning a steal.

The second battle was a Team CeeLo Battle was between Kat Robichaud and R. Anthony, who sang "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. The coaches overwhelmingly supported Kat with her powerful vocals, describing her as a tiger and a storm, and in the end CeeLo took their advice, picking Kat to advance to the next round.

The third and final battle that was shown tonight was a Team Blake battle between Monika Leigh and Ray Boudreaux, who sang "Some Kind of Wonderful" by the Drifters. Now, I was watching with two friends, and both friends got distracted by what the coaches said to Blake to help him make a decision, because while he was talking, Ray Boudreaux, who you may remember sang The Voice theme song during Ray's blind audition, yelled out 'Ray!' as who he should pick. Ray did end up winning the battle, advancing to the next round. However, as Monika was giving her goodbye speech, CeeLo pressed his button and stole her, keeping her in the competition.

(Note: I was wrong yesterday, there are only TWO steals available per coach)

There was also a montage of Battles they couldn't include, and Cole Vosbury from Team CeeLo made it through, EG Daily made it through on Team Blake, and Ashley Dubose made it through on Team Adam.
