Broadway legend Betty Buckley visits tonight's METROFOCUS on Thirteen to discuss how she brought Grizabella to life in the original production of CATS. The episode airs tonight, Thursday, December 1 at 5:00 p.m. on WLIW21, 5:30 p.m. on NJTV and 6:00 p.m. on THIRTEEN. Below, BWW brings you an exclusive sneak peek!

About the episode: The voice of Broadway," Betty Buckley won a Tony for her role as Grizabella, and is best known for singing the heart-wrenching ballad "Memory" in the 1982 Broadway show CATS. And her days are still firmly in the sun - even after decades of making memories for audiences in roles like gym teacher Ms. Collins in Carrie, Abby Bradford in Eight is Enough, and Norma Desmond in the musical, Sunset Boulevard. She will soon star alongside James McAvoy and Anya Taylor Joy in M. Night Shyamalan's Split, opening on January 20, 2017.

MetroFocus host, Rafael Pi Roman recently had the chance to sit down with Betty Buckley at Joe's Pub in the Public Theater, where they talked about her life and career, and where she revealed how she brought her famous character, Grizabella to life.
