The Producers

Long before it was a beloved Broadway musical starring Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, the 1968 Mel Brooks movie THE PRODUCERS made a splash in households and movie theater's everywhere! The film is set in the late 1960s and it tells the story of a theatrical producer and an accountant who want to produce a sure-fire Broadway flop. They take more money from investors than they can repay (the shares they have sold total more than 100% of any profits) and plan to abscond to Brazil as soon as the play closes, only to see the plan go awry when the show turns out to be a hit. Starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder, The Producers is a comedy musical for the ages.

9 to 5

Before it became a musical in 2008, 9 TO 5 was simply a movie with a lot of feminine power and heart. Starring Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda, 9 to 5 tells the story of three working women living out their fantasies of getting even with, and their successful overthrow of, the company's autocratic, "sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot" boss.
