Artist Caitlin G McCollom's 'Spirit Room' Opens At Wonderwall Studio Wonderwall Studio announces their first solo artist exhibition featuring local artist Caitlin G McCollom. "Spirit Room" features 29 original paintings-two displayed in acrylic shadow boxes, two in 4" acrylic frames and 25 lose with framing options available-and 23 high-quality reproductions on specialty materials like acrylic and maple. The show will be on view at Wonderwall's walk-in gallery in South Austin from Oct. 4 to Nov. 1.

The Austin-based artist's use of water-resistant synthetic paper and high-flow acrylic that ripples and puddles results in an intentionally unique, three-dimensional piece-one that is not easily reproduced. This collaboration marks the first time McCollom's work will be replicated. The artist created a collection of 29 original paintings exclusively for Wonderwall and left it up to the framing experts to construct imaginative, one-of-a-kind pieces in their design studio. Visitors can expect to see her signature use of red and blue and the symbolism of the physical and spiritual realms colliding, but in new forms. In "Spirit Room," McCollom's original pieces will be displayed alongside unique reproductions, including prints on HD metal, 100% American maple boxes, silver mylar framed in maple, and in one-inch-thick acrylic art blocks. Four originals will be displayed in acrylic shadow boxes and 25 will be lose with framing options available.

"Our goal at Wonderwall Studio is to create reproductions that make art more accessible to new collectors while still evoking emotion and maintaining the integrity of the artist's original piece," said Wonderwall Art Consultant Paige Bolting West. "We love working with local artists and after seeing Caitlin's work, a partnership just seemed natural. Her work is aesthetically beautiful and the different presentation options are endless."

Wonderwall will host an opening reception with the artist on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public with complimentary refreshments and music by Celina Zisman.
