On Friday, September 30th, Anthony Rapp, who will appear in the upcoming film version of Rent, will make a guest appearance in Sides: The Fear is Real at The Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street). He will take part in the 8 PM and 10 PM performances.

In Sides, which was originally produced by Ma-Yi Theater Company in New York, "the audience follows six, hopeful actors in their quest for entertainment employment through true life audition nightmares. Terrible scripts, psychotic casting directors, and competitive colleagues all stand in their way. In a series of comedic vignettes and scenes, these brave actors face their fears and almost triumph!," according to press notes. Sides, which will run through October 27th, is written by Sekiya Billman, Cindy Cheung, Paul H. Juhn, Peter Kim, Hoon Lee, Mr. Miyagi, and Rodney To, and performed by Sekiya Billman, Jane Cho, Paul H. Juhn, Kim, Lee, Eileen Rivera and To. Anne Kauffman directs.

Rapp will be seen recreating his star-making role as Mark Cohen in the film version of Rent (for which he won an Obie Award when the show was off-Broadway). His other Broadway credits include You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Six Degrees of Separation and Precious Sons. Off-Broadway credits include Bright Lights, Big City, Raised in Captivity, Sophistry and The Destiny of Me. He has been seen in such films as Adventures in Babysitting, Dazed and Confused and Twister.

The show's performance schedule is: Mondays at 8 PM, Wednesdays at 8 PM, Thursdays at 8 PM, Fridays at 8 PM and 10 PM, Saturdays at 7 PM and 10 PM and Sundays at 7 PM. To order tickets, call TicketMaster at (212) 307-4100 or (212) 253-9983, or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
