Amy Schumer to Bring Comedy Tour to PlayhouseSquare, 2/15

Hot young comedienne AMY SCHUMER (of Comedy Central's hit show "Inside Amy Schumer") will make her debut PlayhouseSquare appearance Sat., February 15 at 8 pm at the State Theatre. Tickets for Amy's "Back Door Tour" go on sale Fri., December 6 at 10 AM at playhousesquare.org, 216-241-6000 and the Ticket Office, priced at $45 & $37.50.

"Inside Amy Schumer" (launched on Comedy Central April 30, 2013) ranked as a top-three program on cable among M18-34 and M18-24 in its Tuesday 10:30P-11P timeslot during its first season. (The series is currently in production for its second season and set to debut Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.) The TV show provides an intimate look into the mind of Amy Schumer, through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man- on-the-street interviews.

Amy's blend of wholesome, girl-next-door looks, combined with edgy comedy has earned her a rapid rise in the comedy world. She made her network debut in 2007 on NBC's Last Comic Standing, guesting soon after on 30 Rock before starring in her own Comedy Central special and performing on shows ranging from Jimmy Kimmel, Conan & Howard Stern to The View and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
