Amanda Green, Clyde Alves & More Will Celebrate the Colonial Theatre at Feinstein's/54 Below

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents 54 Celebrates the Colonial Theatre on April 19th & 20th, 2016, at 9:30pm. Having been in operation for over one hundred years, Boston's Colonial Theatre, which was the theatre that first introduced audiences to such musicals as Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Follies, and many others, will be celebrated through song and stories, performed by a diverse group of Broadway talent, all determined to share why the Colonial Theatre must be made a landmark by the city of Boston!

Audiences can expect to hear the music of the great writers whose works debuted on the stage of Boston's famed Colonial Theatre, including Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Jerry Herman, Kander & Ebb, and Stephen Sondheim.

Artists scheduled to appear at the concerts include Anita Gillette (Cabaret) Amanda Green (High Fidelity), Clyde Alves (On the Town), Don Pippin (La Cage Aux Folles), Kevin David Thomas (Les Miserables), Ken Billington (Chicago), Martin Charnin (Annie), Spence Ford (King of Hearts), Rebecca Spigelman (Hairspray), George Lee Andrews (A Little Night Music), Ted Chapin (President, Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization), and Todd Buonopane (Cinderella). More artists will be announced in the following weeks.

Jennifer Ashley Tepper, author of The Untold Stories of Broadway, will host the event. Robert W. Schneider, co-host ofBehind The Curtain: Broadway's Living Legends podcast, will produce the concert. Joshua Zecher-Ross is the evening's musical director.

54 CELEBRATES THE COLONIAL THEATRE plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on April 19th and 20th, 2016, at 9:30pm. There is a $35-$45 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.
