Mel Brooks spoke with USA Today about his experience playing 'Vlad' in HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2, plus Thanksgiving and his grandkids. Genndy Tartakovsky returns to direct the follow-up, set for release on September 25, 2015. Listen to the interview below!

The first film hit theaters in 2012 and centered on young vampire Mavis's (Selena Gomez) attraction to a human named Jonathan (Andy Samberg) and her overprotective vampire father Dracula (Drac, for short, played by Adam Sandler). For the sequel, Vlad (Brooks) comes to town to visit his son Drac, who he hasn't seen in years, and ends up causing a lot of drama for the family.

Brooks told USA Today: "He doesn't treat Dracula with a lot of respect and they're often at odds. It makes for some wonderful comedy."

Iconic, EGOT-winning director, screenwriter, composer, lyricist, comedian, actor and producer Mel Brooks is known for The Producers (on the big screen and on Broadway), The Twelve Chairs, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Silent Movie, High Anxiety, History of the World, Part I, Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and more.
