A Queer Theater Company has announced a strictly limited run of their bare bones, developmental production of Daniel Talbott's new drama GRAY, featuring Chris Bellant (Fairfield), Will Pullen (Scarcity, Punk Rock), and Samantha Soule (Killers and Other Family, And I And Silence). The play will be staged for five bare bones performances only at the Susan Batson Studio--300 West 43rd Street, Room 510--January 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, all at 2 p.m.

In the rough and tumble offshore whaling town of Monterey, California in 1854 - two young sailors and woman on her own in the world wait out their time on shore, buffeted by the unquiet forces of unrequited love, rough intimacy, and extreme vulnerability.

GRAY features design elements by John McDermott (Sets), Tristan Raines (Costumes), Kia Rogers (Lighting), and David Anzuelo (Fights). Hannah Woodward is the stage manager.

Daniel Talbott is an actor, director, playwright, producer, literary manager of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and the artistic director of the Lucille Lortel and NYIT Award-winning Rising Phoenix Rep. His plays include Slipping (The Side Project, Rattlestick), Yosemite (Rattlestick), Afghanistan Zimbabwe America Kuwait (Encore/Rattlestick), What Happened When (Rising Phoenix Rep/HERE), Someone Brought Me (Quince Productions), Mike and Seth (Quince, Encore, The Side Project), Extraordinary Things (Rising Phoenix Rep), and Grey. Recent directing work includes A Fable (piece by piece/RPR/Rattlestick), Gin Baby (IRT), Scarcity (Rattlestick), Mike and Seth (Encore), Slipping (Rattlestick), Afghanistan Zimbabwe America Kuwait (Rattlestick/Encore), Lake Water (Neighborhood Productions), Eightythree Down (Hard Sparks), Much Ado About Nothing (Boomerang), Squealer (Lesser America), and The Umbrella Plays (the teacup company/FringeNYC - Overall Excellence Award: Outstanding Play). He is a graduate of Juilliard and of Solano College Theatre's ATP, teaches at Primary Stages/ESPA, and is a proud member of {YOUR NAME HERE} and Lesser America.
