To commemorate their tenth year of sewing the seeds of Funk, the Fort Knox Five have gone into their vaults and hand selected 15 of their favorite original songs. But don't call this a Greatest Hits collection - though every last track is indeed a great hit - this is a selection straight from the heart of the four men who created it. Seasoned, eclectic, traveled and varied, here are songs that span the musical globe. You'll find elements of Reggae, Dub, Hip Hop, Techno, Rock, R&B, Swing, Punk, Bhangra and Disco all tied together by the relentless beats and bass that have made Fort Knox Five a staple on dance floors the world over.

The quixotic quartet have always reserved the fifth slot in their band for their collaborators and this collection showcases an epic lineup, capped by none other than the Godfather of Hip Hop and Electro Funk himself, Afrika Bambaataa. There are appearances by Mustafa Akbar (Thunderball, Nappy Riddem), Rootz and Zeebo (See-I and Thievery Corporation), Asheru (Boondocks theme song), Sleepy Wonder (Thievery Corporation), Ian Svenonius (The Make-Up, Chain and the Gang), Akil Dasan (US3) and the Zulu Nation's, King Kamonzi amongst others.

Bolstered by Fort Knox Five's celebrated live band performances and DJ appearances, this body of music has been performed and played for countless thousands of fans from America to Australia and all points in between. These tunes have been heard in such movies as "The Cove" (2010 Academy Award Winner), "Stand Up Guys" and "You Again" as well as TV shows like "The Fringe." No strangers to the world of video games, Fort Knox Five songs have appeared in Need For Speed: Shift, Skate It, NBA Live 10, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Dirt 3, Sims and others.

"10 Years of Fort Knox Five" offers a glimpse into the prism of genre- jumping funk that Jon Horvath, Steve Raskin, Sid Barcelona and Rob Myers have been creating since 2003, a decade of musical growth and exploration that tantalizingly hints at what lays ahead for these musical pioneers.
