Duke City Repertory Theatre presents The Drunken City, written by Adam Bock and directed by DCRT company member Ezra Colón. The show features DCRT company members Amelia Ampuero, Katie Becker Colón, Frank Taylor Green, Josh Heard, as well as Ashley Daniels (The Nutcracker) and Willis Miller (The Nutcracker, Animal Farm). The production runs May 13-29, 2016 at The Cell Theatre, 700 First St. NW 87102.
They drank. They partied. And only the city knows what happened next.
In The Drunken City, three twenty-something bachelorettes go out for their last night of freedom. With marriage looming, one bride-to-be begins to question her future after a chance encounter with a recently jilted handsome stranger. This "tart, smart, and intoxicating" comedy reaches a fever pitch as we take a closer look at those not-so-single ladies shamelessly giggling and stumbling down the drunken city streets.

Duke City Repertory Theatre, a professional non-profit theatre company in the middle of our 6th season, exists to serve the audience. We believe that theatre is a mutual experience between audience and actors. It is not merely witnessing or performing, but something shared and profound. DCRT is accountable to our patrons in providing top-notch, bold theatre that inspires and transforms. It is our aim to make this art accessible and compelling to not only the theatre community, but the entire community at large. Our theatre resides not in bricks and mortar, but in that which can be shared between human beings immersed in a created world.
