BWW Feature: THEORY OF RELATIVITY at Wichita State School Of Performing Arts, Wilner Theatre
Wichita State University's School of Performing Arts presents the musical THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY Thursday through Saturday, March 21st-23rd at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 24th at 2:00 pm in Wilner Auditorium.
THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY is a song cycle written in 2016 by the Drama Desk Award nominated team Neil Bartram and Brian Hill. It is a musical written for and about college-age youth, and is sure to offer audiences a new perspective on the millennial generation and the idea of infinite uncertainty combined with the logical certainty of mathematics and physics. It is an emotional and highly accessible show that examines love, friendship, parental expectations, personal aspirations and human connection.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Performing Arts Angels, The School of Performing Arts is thrilled to welcome back alumnus, Emily Pirtle, now Emily Orr, as our Guest Director, Music Director AND Pianist for THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY.
The cast features 13 Musical Theatre Majors- Ariel Glorsky, Natalie Carrera, Ari Chandler, Grace Roush, Courtney Wages, Katriana Kisner, Jackson Dorris, Nora Dooley, Philip Hanson, Jacob Kramer, Trevor Seyl, William Day, and Lucas Lowry.
The design team for THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY includes Associate Professors David Neville (Lighting Design) and Ed Baker (Set Design & Technical Direction).
