Ophelia Rewound is an interactive, autobiographical, solo performance that examines and challenges the stereotypes that sit around women and mental health.
The piece offers a contemporary and unique perspective on an age old story; reforming the character of Ophelia and going beyond the myth to the person underneath.
Merging intricate projection mapping, with her own story and that of Ophelia's, writer, performer & director Antigoni Spanou, invites the audience into an intimate world where the lines between art and life become blurred.
The audience’s journey begins at the end of Ophelia’s; with her attempted suicide. But through a series of thought-provoking interactions they are given the opportunity to become part of the story and share a moment of collective transformation.
